If you are having trouble sending or receiving texts while using a Ting V1 SIM, try these troubleshooting steps.
Remove any emojis, GIFs, or pictures and try again
Send the message with only text to see if it will send. This will help us troubleshoot whether your service is being impacted or if your phone is only able to send simple characters (such as numbers or letters) in text messages.
Delete and Re-add the contact.
Manually deleting and re-adding the contact can help ensure that the number is stored correctly in your phone.
Check your blocked numbers.

Check your messaging settings

Settings > Messages > iMessage > ON *If you recently moved iPhones, you may need to disable iMessage on your old device. |

Messages > At the top right, tap your profile picture or icon > Messages settings > RCS chats > Turn RCS chats ON *If you activated your Ting V1 SIM card after July 12, 2024, you won't be able to use RCS services. |
Check the Status of your phone number in your account.
Log in to your TingMobile.com account and check that your number is currently active.
Restart your device.
Restarting your device can help refresh your connection to our cellular network.
Confirm your software is up to date.

Open your device's Settings app > Tap System > System update |
Remove and re-insert your SIM card.
Removing and re-inserting your SIM card will perform a hard reset and refresh your connection to our cellular network.
Confirm that you are not currently roaming internationally.
We currently do not support roaming outside of the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Reset your network settings.
This will remove all WiFi and Bluetooth passwords.
